It has been a long while since I have updated this message. I could make the excuse that I have been busy building the new TSNY in DC or any number of other projects have had me too focussed to pause and ponder life's meanings. The truth, however, is always about choice and perhaps also inspiration.
I have been immersed, you see, in the lives of my circle. The loves, loses, injuries, confusions, enlightenments and closeness has been so intense, so wholly saturated with meaning, it is as if writing about it would be like exiling myself to the post of observer in my own experience.
As the path to closeness gets clearer, the walls of protection crumble. It becomes safer to inhabit the moment, to become intimate with things that may have threatened in days past. The crowd that once seemed to be hurried chaos can now be seen to dance. We have decided that this is good and we are together doing the right thing for good reason.
Simply put, what was once a dream, is now a movement. A dedication of many lives to a theme. Through our school, we are seeing a possibility. A glimpse of a future where we may be fed by our efforts and proud of what we leave behind.
Sometime soon, I will become obsolete. This is the wish of any teacher. If we are out grown by the ones we most wish to inspire, our dreams have a chance to grow beyond the limits of our imagining. I see this coming now. More and more, the circle is strengthened by your hand leaving my hands free to do no more than applaud. It is more and more about us. All of us. So amazingly many of us giving of ourselves in the most brilliant ways. So many names I can utter with love and respect.
Where we'll go from here it is hard to say. What I do know is that I will feel less need to point "the" way and will learn the skill to find our way. That has me very busy indeed. Thank you and see you in the sky. Jonathon |

Class Update |
 |
Tuesday, March 9 Classes are on!!
We're running classes and students are amazed by our new space! We think it's pretty awesome too!
We've opened up some evening and weekend spots in the next few weeks, so be sure to sign up before they fill. We've also posted the April schedule, including 2 new IFWs!
***************************
Intensive Flying Workshops
IFWs are 10 week courses that meet at the same time and day each week. The classes have the same students and instructors to help provide consistency and accelerate your flying. IFWs are not just for experienced flyers, its a great way to kick off your skills and have the instructors really get to know you and work with your individual goals. To top it all off, you get a spot a show to "show off" all you've learned!
**************************
You can keep motivated and talk to other flyers via our facebook page! Get daily updates, post your pictures and videos, and interact with other DC flyers!
Our page changed - so if you were a fan, make sure you have rejoined the new page Trapeze School New York (TSNY) Washington DC.
See you in the sky!

The new location is 3 blocks from Nationals Stadium and a short walk from the Navy Yards metro stop. There is parking available, both street meters and very reasonably priced parking lots (~$6.00 a day). This is an up and coming area and we are excited to be a part of it!
