Curiosity is a set up for discovery. Anger is a set up for destruction. The attitude with which you approach problem solving is so entwined with the choices you perceive, one is hardly distinguishable from the other.
Have you ever noticed that some folks never seem to be able to get their lives together, while others seem to be having an unreasonably smooth ride? This my friends is the pan ultimate example of creating reality.
But I want to take you one step further. I want you to recognize that your attitude not only effects the way you feel, but in fact can improve or impair your ability to perceive your circumstance to such an extent that a change for the better would hit you like a floodlight in a pitch black room.
Here it is plain and simple. Your emotions are designed to act as emissaries for the ideals you have developed over your life. Employed as counsel, they are perfect for advising your better judgment on how to operate in the world.
As advisers, they have the freedom to empathize with their own cause to the exclusion of all other things. It is their job to lobby unhindered by reason. It is this total commitment to cause that seriously limits their ability to perceive and it is this limitation to perceive that makes letting them lead a recipe for disaster.
As with most lobbyist, you need to understand the motives of the individual to assess whether they, and thus their cause, can be trusted. This is important because if you were negatively influenced during the development of your ideals, then my friend, your emissaries may be completely devoted to undermining your happiness.
So, job one is to take a hard look at what your emotions are trying to sell you and decide if those things work in the context of a healthy life. If you are not absolutely sure you can assess that, then you need to get help. Even if you are confident, a bit of outside consultation can be invaluable.
It is the organized effort of a healthy emotional dialogue governed by reason and thoroughly conditioned with a propensity to seek good that reveals the divine creative nature of the human spirit.
Be honest with yourself. Work to improve your inner team and put that to the task of improving conditions for all. We'll see you in the sky. Jonathon |

Class Update |
 |
Monday, February 8 New aerial arts and conditioning classes!
Flying trapeze classes are posted for February 15th - March 31st. We have also added static trapeze, trampoline classes, silks, Lyra, and our newest class - Acrobatic Partner Balancing.
Acrobatic partner balancing (a blend of hand balancing and partner acrobatics) is a traditional circus act performed on the ground. Partners lift and balance each other in incredible poses, and use each others' bodies to perform acrobatic feats. You don't need any prior aerial or acrobatics experience to take these classes. You don't even need a partner - you'll work with the instructor and other students in your class, always under close supervision and with appropriate spotting and safety precautions.
Sign up for Acrobatic Partner Balancing with Lizzie on Monday evenings.

Construction Update!
Oh no - snow!
The tent is up! The bathrooms are framed out and the rig is up. In fact, Brian and Scout took a swing on it last Wednesday! We are a little concerned about the several subsequent snowfalls and their factor on our workers finishing out the electrical work. Cross your fingers for a quick inspection and Certificate of Occupancy!
**************************
You can keep motivated and talk to other flyers via our facebook page! Get daily updates, post your pictures and videos, and interact with other DC flyers! There are construction pictures up too! Make sure to join our revamped page Trapeze School New York (TSNY) Washington DC.
See you in the Sky!
