Flying Trapeze - Level 2

Level 2 skills and classes

Our level 2 students are a group of skilled flyers who are on their way to learning how to swing and train more advanced tricks. As a level 2 student you must still wear safety lines at all times but you may begin taking off your own safety lines in the net before rolling out. You will also be eligible to sign up for more advanced IFWs and may begin the training and certification process to attain intermediate status.

In order to progress to Level 2 status, students must have:

  • Taken a minimum of three classes at a single school
  • A consistent assisted or solo one-handed take-off
  • Caught at least two release tricks (set split, whip, straddle, hocks-off, etc.)

  • Students must complete the “Level 2 Status Sign off Sheet” from the "TSNY Curriculum Log Book" in order to be considered a Level 2 flyer.

Beginner and level 2 classes are a time to strengthen your body, learn basics, build trust with the instructors and make connections with other flyers. The atmosphere is often more relaxed than the higher-level classes and therefore is a popular choice for casual flyers. We look forward to teaching you skills that will create a strong foundation for flying and also translate nicely into other parts of your life.
