Flying trapeze engenders an immediate deepening of involvement, team spirit and camaraderie. Our highly organized professional staff uses exciting and challenging activities to create dynamics where understanding and fresh perspective bolsters cooperation, efficiency and courage. Your Event
Your Team Building Workshop will consist of an introduction, then exciting and challenging activities. Teams of up to 20 will rotate through the challenge stations for an amazingly fun and adventurous day. For every 10 people we recommend 1 activity (i.e., with 30 people you would have flying trapeze plus a choice of 2 additional activities). The activities listed below are our most popular and give people a good mix of experiences. We will tailor a program that suits your needs and if you see any combination of activities not listed or would like to customize your event, please just let us know and we will work with you to create an event that fits your time and budget requirements! We are looking forward to creating a truly unique and exhilarating day for everyone in your group!
Introduction
We start by introducing our instructors, giving safety talks and then we get your group started on the flying trapeze, sword fighting, ropes course or circus skills and many other challenges. Some of your guests will even find themselves flying across to the catcher in a grand finale that will amaze! All participants will experience each activity and even those not wishing to fly will be thoroughly entertained!
The Art of Flying
Groups will receive the following instruction for the flying trapeze:
Safety on the rig (required for all who will fly)
Ground schooling on the basic skill components
Flying knee-hang and back flip dismount
Additional flying skills, if appropriate, for the more advanced
TSNY will provide all safety equipment, disposable items (tape, chalk etc), staffing and instruction for this amazing high-flying adventure. By far the coolest part of everyone's day!
Additional Activities
Ascent and Traverse Ropes Courses
Our unique rope climbing activity offers your group the opportunity to go beyond traditional climbing to the next level. Use this challenge as an interactive learning experience, race the clock to battle your fellow teams while working with cool climbing gear, or even climb blindfolded! Depending on your team, we will add different components to your climb to increase the difficulty so that everyone is engaged. TSNY staff will work closely with your group as you discover how to safely and successfully function as a unit to meet the challenges of Technical Ascent.
Trampoline
So many of us bounced on the trampoline when we were young, and now you can relive that experience. Our expert instructors will carefully guide you through movements that match your ability and take you just a little bit further.
Sword Play
Foam swords, teams of five square off to battle each other! Release your inner Knight with our fun foam boffer swords! Score points and eliminate opponents by knocking off their limbs Monty python style. Battle cries galore!
Juggling
Balls, Beanbags, Clubs, Scarves, Diablo and Spinning Plates are all used to teach hand eye coordination. We teach a basic cascade pattern and beyond. Beanbags and scarves are easy while the more advanced and more coordinated participants learn ball and club juggling, plate spinning, and, well, anythingís possible!
Silks
Silks are among the most artistic and beautiful of the trapeze art forms. We will teach you some basic moves that will make you look like an expert performer. You will amaze yourself and your colleagues.
Hula Hoop
Few things symbolize simple times like the Hula Hoop. We bring back the days where the most important thing you did was having fun with ingeniously simple toys that somehow captured the rhythm of our playful nature and got everyone on the block joining in the groove. You'll be surprised just how quickly that simple joy returns when you start swinging your hips with that rattle and roll. We'll show novice and pro alike how to work up some impressive moves and maybe even perform your very own synchronized Hula Hoopla.
Stilts
Want to stand out among your friends and walk tall? This is the activity for you.
Acrobatic Yoga
This is the latest sensation in yoga, and we have just introduced it into TSNY activities. You will work with an expert instructor learn how to position yourself and a colleague in intriguing and unusual positions that will stretch your muscles and your imagination.
Finale
Towards the end of the event, we will do catching on the flying trapeze, and we will showcase selected individuals showing their stuff at each activity station. You will be trained and you will put on your own show!

Flying Trapeze & Aerial Show
Thrill your group with a 15-20 minute Aerial Show Extravaganza by our fantastic staff featuring their incredible high-flying tricks and catches.
The TSNY Challenge Game
Highly recommended for larger groups (40 or more people), competing teams will compete against each other in a variety of activities at TSNY -- Jugglers, Rope Climbers, Trampoline Jumpers, Stilt Walkers, Flyers -- in a scored game to cheer participants to their greatest level of skill and dexterity. Team prizes as well as individual prizes for those most likely to run away and join the circus!
Mechanical Bull
This is a party favorite. We work with an outside vendor to bring in a mechanical bull that will make your guest feel like they are part of the rodeo!
Catering
Complete your event with a catered lunch/dinner or hors d'ouvres & drinks while observing a Trapeze
class, or even while watching a trapeze show. We will help you make the arrangements and we can arrange
tables and chairs. Water and snack bars are supplied at no extra cost as part of your event.

Custom apparel is available with a 4 week lead time.
Photography and Videography
We have photographers on site to capture the excitement of the day and we can arrange a professional videographer to make custom DVDs of your event.
Decorations and Promotion Materials
We can arrange a full range of decorating options, and we can also arrange to have your group's logo
banner on our trapeze floor under the rig or hang banners promoting your company or organization.

Participants often come up with their own successful approaches to the challenges we provide. This is an important design feature as it allows for real creativity to achieve the objectives. Safety demands that all participants pay careful attention to the rules of the school and any instruction our staff may offer.
