I believe that there is a day in everyone's life where things change abruptly and forever. Unlike a death or falling in love, this day doesn't make the news. You may hardly even notice much more than a shudder or tear. Some folks will be called to action but, many more will simply, quietly hide themselves away.
My day came when I was twelve. We were studying American history in class and the teacher shared the story of how American soldiers had traded infected blankets to the Native Americans. An act of war under the guise of peace. I remember a deeply unsettling "ill at ease" feeling for something doesn't make sense in a place so far within that there would simply be no rationalizing it away." That's just wrong!" followed by "Is that who we are?"
Thursday, February 9 We have spots open in flying trapeze, silks, and trampoline this evening!
TSNY DC is partnering with Living Social Adventures and Date Nights DC to offer a unique event for couples. This “sampler” class will have couples try their hand at flying trapeze, silks, and partner balancing. Each reservation also comes with a “date night” gift bag for two. All reservations are strictly through Living Social Adventures (http://www.livingsocial.com/adventures) and Date nights DC (http://datenightsdc.washington.org/) and there are limited dates and spots available.
We've added tons of classes in our aerial arts to the February schedule! Why not try something new? We have amazing instructors with small class sizes. They will work with each person individually at their own level and with their own goals. Beginners are always welcome!
The office is currently taking applications for positions with the TSNY DC Office. This position requires strong computer and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. This is a part-time position that requires evening (starting at 5:30pm) and weekend availability.

Sign your child up for Summer Camp!Summer Camp at Trapeze School New York will engage your child in the world of Aerial and Circus Arts. Each one week camp runs full days Monday through Friday. Campers will start each day with flying trapeze and then break into smaller groups for other activities. The first few days allow them to spend equal time on every activity before majoring in one or two that they will showcase in a Friday afternoon show for friends and family.

The Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival Denver is the first of its kind in the U.S. and internationally!
The Festival showcases semi-professional aerialists in North America in two judged show competitions. To be accepted into the show, aerialists submit videos for review by a screening panel. The judging criterion is based on standards of Aerial Festivals from around the world.
It is a platform for aerialists to experience the joy of performing, the excitement of competition, and the inspiration of seeing what is possible.

Both our Indoor and Outdoor (seasonal) classes are held at 4th St SE and Tingey in The Yards of Capitol Riverfront.
This location is 3 blocks from Nationals Stadium and a short walk from the Navy Yards metro stop. There is parking available, both street meters and very reasonably priced parking lots (~$6.00 a day), but please be aware of changes during Nationals home games. This is an up and coming area and we are excited to be a part of it!
